istock_000004506807xsmallv2What:  Coaching through job loss revisited

When: Friday, February 12, 2010, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Who:    Coach Melissa Lubin, Client Joe Crowley and JAM Founder Ed Landry

Where: Westwood Club, 6200 West Club Lane

How much: $25 for members; $35 for guests (Please note the fee for member lunches has increased to cover cost increases from the meeting venue.)

Last spring, career coach Bonnie Miller gave us some great ideas about how to coach people who have lost their job.  Through the ICFGR’s work with the Jobs Assistance Ministry (JAM), coaches have learned first-hand what these clients face in the crucible of a major life transition.  Join ICF board member and coach Melissa Lubin, her client Joe Crowley, and JAM founder and coordinator Ed Landry as they share their experiences and answer your questions.

Participants can expect to gain:

  • Knowledge of the challenges facing someone who lost their job
  • Greater understanding of the job search process-what the experts now say is the best way to help people find work
  • A client’s perspective on the value of coaching-particularly from those new to coaching
  • Information about how ICFGR supports the community and is raising the visibility of coaching

Special Note: In response to your feedback about needing more time to interact, ICF Board members will stick around after the meeting until 2 p.m. to chat informally and invite you to do the same.
